Jon Seals

Jon Seals' artistic practice revolves around exploring the relationship between identity, memory, loss, and redemption in visual culture. Through his work, he seeks to delve into the deep-seated emotions and experiences that shape our sense of self. At the core of his body of work is a desire to confront and interrogate the various factors that shape our identities. From our personal histories and cultural backgrounds to the socio-political contexts in which we exist, these influences all play a role in shaping who we are and how we understand ourselves. These experiences are central to the human condition and that they can be a source of profound growth and transformation if we are willing to confront them head-on.
